PRODEN GROUP has developed an electrical engineering<\/a><\/strong> project for a low voltage electrical revision in an industrial installation<\/strong>. The action was carried out in an industrial<\/strong> installation, located in the province of Barcelona<\/strong>.The action consisted of a preventive electrical inspection<\/strong> of the installation and the grounding system<\/strong>. With the aim of verifying its condition, continuity and regulatory compliance<\/strong>, reinforcing the electrical safety of people and equipment. <\/p>\n\n

These types of projects are part of PRODEN GROUP’s services throughout Catalonia<\/strong>. PRODEN GROUP performs inspection, technical verification and regulatory support in industrial installations<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Technical and preventive approach to the project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The project was approached from an engineering and engineering and technical consulting<\/a><\/strong>with a strictly preventive approach. The scope focused on checking the correct operation of the low voltage electrical system and grounding. <\/p>\n\n

The main objective was to have a reliable technical assessment<\/strong>, aligned with regulatory requirements, that would allow the client to know the status of its electrical installation and facilitate safety and maintenance management.<\/p>\n\n

Low voltage regulatory verification<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

The work performed included the review of low voltage electrical installations<\/strong>, following the criteria established in the Low Voltage Electrotechnical<\/strong> Regulation (REBT). Electrotechnical Regulation for Low Voltage (REBT) and its Complementary<\/a><\/strong> and its Complementary Technical Instructions.<\/p>\n\n

From the point of view of electrical engineering, this type of inspection makes it possible to check that the installation maintains adequate safety conditions and that the protection elements operate correctly under normal service conditions.<\/p>\n\n

Checking the grounding system<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Evaluation of land continuity and effectiveness<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

A fundamental part of the project was the verification of the grounding system<\/strong>, a key element for protection against indirect contacts in industrial environments.<\/p>\n\n

The checks were performed in accordance with the criteria set forth in:<\/p>\n\n

  • ITC-BT-24<\/strong> – Protection against indirect contacts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    This type of verification makes it possible to evaluate the efficiency of the grounding system and its performance in the event of faults, contributing to the safety of people and the reliability of the electrical installation.<\/p>\n\n

    Inspection and measurement methodology applied<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

    Technical procedure and traceability<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

    The methodology applied was based on:<\/p>\n\n

    • Visual inspections of the general condition of the electrical panels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Technical checks of the protective conductor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Measurement of the grounding system by regulatory methods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Verification of the fault loop impedance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Structured recording of results and technical observations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

      In addition, all actions were carried out with duly calibrated measuring equipment and by qualified technical personnel, which guarantees, on the one hand, the reliability of the results obtained and, on the other hand, the complete technical traceability of the project, in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n\n

      The project provides a solid technical basis for electrical maintenance management<\/strong>, facilitating the planning of future actions and the monitoring of the condition of the installation.<\/p>\n\n

      Verification according to the REBT and its ITC<\/strong> helps the customer to keep its installation aligned with current regulations and prepared for regulatory inspections or internal audits.<\/p>\n\n
