adaptation of process plant according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/doc.php?id=BOE-A-1997-17824\">RD 1215\/1997<\/a><\/strong> in an industrial facility located in Rossell\u00f3, Lleida.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project was approached in an integrated manner from the areas of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/prodengroup.com\/soluciones\/engineering\/\">ENGINEERING<\/a><\/strong> and later <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/prodengroup.com\/soluciones\/adequa\/\">ADEQUA<\/a><\/strong>ensuring technical coherence and regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the <strong>engineering and process plant adequacy study according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/doc.php?id=BOE-A-1997-17824\">RD 1215\/1997<\/a><\/strong> was considered considering the actual operation and the interaction between equipment.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although this action was carried out in Lleida, PRODEN GROUP develops similar projects <strong>throughout Catalonia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ENGINEERING Phase: process plant safety engineering study<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Regulatory analysis and risk assessment of the facility<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First of all, the project was initiated from the <a href=\"https:\/\/prodengroup.com\/soluciones\/engineering\/\">ENGINEERING<\/a> area, with a technical and structured approach.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To this end, a <strong>safety engineering study<\/strong> of the process plant was carried out, including equipment, accesses and operating areas.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A risk assessment was also carried out in accordance with <strong>UNE-EN ISO 12100<\/strong>, identifying hazards and safety functions.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This analysis made it possible to verify the degree of compliance with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/doc.php?id=BOE-A-1997-17824\">RD 1215\/1997<\/a><\/strong> in the installation as a whole.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Detailed engineering and definition of corrective measures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Regulatory framework applied to process plants<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on the initial study, detailed engineering was developed to define the technical measures provided.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specifically, the following were taken as reference:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/doc.php?id=BOE-A-1997-17824\">RD 1215\/1997<\/a><\/strong>on work equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Directive 2006\/42\/EC<\/strong>, relating to machinery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>UNE-EN ISO 12100<\/strong>, risk assessment and risk reduction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>UNE-EN ISO 13849-1 and 13849-2<\/strong>, functional safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ISO 7010<\/strong>, safety signage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this way, clear criteria were established for the subsequent adaptation of the plant.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ADEQUA Phase: technical adequacy of the process plant<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Implementation of security measures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subsequently, the project advanced to the <a href=\"https:\/\/prodengroup.com\/soluciones\/adequa\/\">ADEQUA<\/a> phase, with technical actions being carried out on the process plant.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among others, the following interventions were carried out:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Physical adequacy of accesses and work platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installation of collective protection elements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integration of emergency stop devices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved signage of residual risks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Correction of grounding points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These actions were carried out in line with the previous engineering study.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applied methodology: engineering studies and integrated adaptations.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Technical continuity between analysis and execution<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the key aspects of the project was the continuity between the engineering study and the plant adaptation.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, consistency was ensured between the risks identified and the measures finally implemented.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, this approach made it possible to avoid isolated actions and to prioritize global solutions at plant level.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All actions were developed with clear technical criteria and documentary traceability.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Project benefits<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Improving process plant safety<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project improved safety conditions in the process plant during operation and maintenance.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This reduced the risk exposure of personnel working on the equipment.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Regulatory compliance with RD 1215\/1997<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The performance provides a sound technical basis for justifying compliance with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/doc.php?id=BOE-A-1997-17824\">RD 1215\/1997<\/a><\/strong> in the installation as a whole.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also facilitates the management of regulatory inspections and audits.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Global and sustainable approach<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The adaptation was designed considering the plant as a whole, and not as isolated equipment.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, the solutions implemented are coherent, functional and sustainable over time.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PRODEN GROUP: engineering studies and plant adaptation in Catalonia<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project developed in Rossell\u00f3 reflects PRODEN GROUP&#8217;s focus on <strong>engineering studies and adaptation of process plants according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/doc.php?id=BOE-A-1997-17824\">RD 1215\/1997.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our team operates <strong>throughout Catalonia<\/strong>, accompanying industrial companies in improving the safety of their facilities.<\/p>\n\n<p
