In Proden Group we have developed a key project in a reference plant of the food sector in Portugal, focused on the compliance and CE marking of a new CIP cleaning station for the extraction and evaporation lines.
Project development
The scope included all phases of safety engineering, from the initial regulatory study to the final validation and issuance of the certificate of conformity.
One of the most relevant aspects was the correct adaptation to local Portuguese regulations, applying Decree-Law 50/2005 (DL.50/2005), which regulates the minimum safety requirements for the use of work equipment. Its integration, together with Directive 2006/42/EC and the European Harmonized Standards, ensured that the solution fully complied with both EU standards and national legislation in force.
Thanks to this planning, safety engineering was not limited to a final verification, but was integrated from the design phase, making it possible to anticipate risks, optimize technical solutions and ensure the reliability of the command and control systems.

The application of local regulations combined with European standards provided essential added value to the project:
